Troop 5 is a large Scout-led troop with over 70 active Scouts who choose and plan the monthly outings and activities, teach each other outdoor skills, and grow in leadership.
We follow the core mission of the Boy Scouts of America, which is to prepare young men to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
We have strong adult leadership and parent support. Our Scoutmaster and Assistant Scoutmasters work directly with the Scouts, guiding them through the Scouting program. The Troop Committee members ensure our Scouting program succeeds. And we rely on all parents to provide valued support.
Troop 5 was founded in March 2012, and is chartered by Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Troop 5 welcomes Scouts and families of all faiths and denominations.
The troop meets in the main room downstairs in the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Hall.
